This is a World War II submarine launch tag for the USS Toro SS-422, launched on August 23, 1944 at Portsmouth (NH) Naval Shipyard.
The Toro earned two battle stars during two World War II war patrols.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1944.
SIZE:About 1-3/4 in width by 2-1/8" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Foiled card stock.
ATTACHMENT:Silk string.
