Description
This is a World War II launch tag for the launching of the USS Redfish (SS-395) from the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard on January 27, 1944, sharing the spotlight with the USS Ronquil and the USS Razorback. Redfish received two battle stars for her World War II service, sinking three Japanese craft and heavily damaging one with the assistance of USS Sea Devil.
VINTAGE:Circa 1944.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/16 in height (excluding 3-5/8" of string) and 1-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Foiled card stock with silk string.
ATTACHMENT:Punched hole with string.
