ARTIFACT: This is a ribbon for the for the launching of the submarine USS Redfish (SS-395) from the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard on January 27, 1944, who shared the spotlight that day with the USS Ronquil and the USS Razorback. Redfish received two battle stars for her World War II service, sinking three Japanese craft and heavily damaging one with the assistance of USS Sea Devil.

VINTAGE: Circa 1944.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/4 in width and 5-1/4" in length.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Printed silk.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The ribbon has some minor wear at the bottom.
