This is a World War II submarine launch tag for the USS Pilotfish SS-386, which was launched August 30, 1943 at Portsmouth (NH) Naval Shipyard. After receiving five battle stars for her service during three World War II, Pilotfish met her end as a target at the Bikini Atoll.
VINTAGE:Circa 1943.
SIZE:About 1-3/4 in width by 2-1/8" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Foiled card stock.
ATTACHMENT:Silk string.
