This is a World War II submarine launch tag for the USS Atule SS-403, launched on March 6, 1944 at Portsmouth (NH) Naval Shipyard. The Atule, part of a wolfpack nicknamed Clarey's Crushers", earned four battle stars for her World War II service and was sold to Peru in 1974.
VINTAGE:Circa 1944.
SIZE:About 1-3/4" in width by 2-1/8" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Foiled card stock.
