ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II "For Service" lapel badge for the Russian War Relief (RWR). A controversial group in the eyes of the FBI, the group had Fred Myers as their Executive Director, future founder of the Humane Society of the United States. The badge is in enameled sterling silver.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 5/16" in height and 1-1/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Enameled sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal safety pin with saddle.

MARKINGS:

Union/maker mark.
