This is a World War II "E" for excellence in production badge for Carnegie-Illinois Steel Company. The badge is oval with a rope border and a white enameled capital E at top. At center are two crossed cannon and an anchor.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 11/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Copper-plated brass with enamel and brass backing.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a war worker collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ZEN94 LDEX11/10
CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The pin shows light wear and tarnish.
