ARTIFACT: This is an early World War II United States Merchant Marine Officer badge made in sterling by A. E. Co. The badge has a shield and anchor in the middle of it, surrounded by a compass, with a fluer-de-lis to indicate North

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately 1" in diameter

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling Silver.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with locking swivel catch

MARKINGS: "UNITED STATES MERCHANT MARINE. STERLING A.E.CO."
