This is a World War II plastic New Hampshire State Guard Distinctive Insignia" or "Unit Crest" pin. Many state side units had these DIs made of plastic to save essential materials such as brass for the war effort.
VINTAGE:Circa 1943.
SIZE:About 1" in width by 1-1/8" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wartime celluloid plastic with a metal pin.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with a "C" catch.
MARKINGS:WHITEHEAD-HOAG in a circle.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a large collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months.
