WWII Maine State Guard DI in Plastic

This is a distinctive insignia in plastic for the Maine State Guard. The DI shows the State of Maine's seal, which reads DIRIGO (direct), the state motto. Many state-side units had these DIs made of plastic to save essential materials such as brass for the war effort.

Circa World War II era.

1-1/4" height and 1-1/16" width.

Plastic.
