Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II Imperial Japanese badge for those wounded in battle, or "sen-sho". The pin is in enameled silver and has a double safety-pin closure. The characters on reverse read "Military Wound Badge Sen-sho".

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-3/16" in height and 1-3/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Enameled silver, brass pins.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical double safety-style pin.

MARKINGS:

Characters on reverse reading "Military Wound Badge Sen-sho".

ITEM NOTES:

CONDITION:

7+ (Very Fine+): The badge has some lines in the enamel but it is all intact.
