WWII Green Back Patch for US Army 3rd Armored Division aka Spearhead Division

This is a World War II shoulder patch with a green back and border for the United States Army 3rd Armored Division, nicknamed "Spearhead". The patch is a tri-colored triangle bordered in olive drab embroidery and shows a tank track, cannon, lightning bolt and the number Green back, Olive Drab Backed, O/D Back, OD Back, Greenback.

Circa World War II.

Approximately 3-7/16" in height x 3-1/2" in width.

Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads.

To be sewn onto uniform.
