Description
This is a World War II shoulder patch with a green back for the United States Army 26th Infantry Division, also known as the Yankee Division. The patch is diamond-shaped in khaki twill and bears an interlocking blue capital "Y" and "D" that stand for the Massachusetts group's nickname. Green back, Olive Drab Backed, O/D Back, OD Back, Greenback.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 4-1/16" in height x 3-1/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
ATTACHMENT:To be sewn onto uniform.
