This is an "E" award pin for Goss Manufacturing Company. The pin is oval and reads E FOR PRODUCTION UNITED STATES NAVY BUREAU OF ORDNANCE GOSS and shows an anchor and two crossed cannon.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:1-1/16" in height x 23/32" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with painted areas.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw pin with disc backing.
MARKINGS:JOSTENS on reverse of pin and OWATONNA, MINN. JOSTEN'S on disc backing.
