This is a World War II distinctive insignia for the United States Army 41st Coast Artillery (Railroad), which was responsible for the harbor defense at Pearl Harbor.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1" in height and 1" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER NEW YORK, raised shield mark.
