WWII British Women's Land Army Cap Badge

This is a World War II cap badge for the British Women's Land Army, a wartime group activated during both world wars to temporarily replace the male agricultural workers who entered the military. The badge is very handsome, with a red enameled crown at its top and a golden sheaf of wheat at center set against a field of emerald.

Circa World War II.

Approximately 1-3/8" in height and 1" in width.

Gold-plated brass with enameled areas.

Horizontal pin with C catch.
