Description
This is a nice World War II American Theatre Wing Stage Door Canteen Entertainer collar badge. The creator of the Tony Award, the San Francisco group was a part of the World War II Allied Relief Fund that encouraged theatrical education but also supported servicemen and families of veterans. The badge is beautifully enameled in red, white and blue with a winged actor's mask at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 7/16" in height and 1-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post, disc backing.
MARKINGS:STERLING.
