Description
This is a World War II M1 .30 Caliber ammo can by Crown for the Browning M1917A1 machine gun. It also held .30-06 cartridges used by many long arms used during World War II. This nearly-waterproof, reinforced model replaced its wooden counterpart early on in the war, and is in olive-drab painted steel. Able to hold The can is in excellent condition. .
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 7-1/16" in height and 3-1/2" in width and 10-1/4" in length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Painted steel.
ATTACHMENT:Hinged, removable lid; collapsible handle; latch.
MARKINGS:CROWN with ordnance flaming bomb mark.
