WWI US "Son-In-Service" Lapel Stud in 14K Gold

This is World War I United States son-in-service lapel button. The button is in 14 karat gold and enamel, and shows a single blue star at the center of a red-bordered rectangle.

Circa World War I.

Approximately 5/16" in height and 13/16" in width.

14 karat gold and enamel.

Lapel stud.

R maker's mark, 14K.
