ARTIFACT: This is a circa World War I helmet for the United States 3rd Army, American Expeditionary Forces General Headquarters (AEF GHQ). The helmet is painted with the 3rd Army insignia on one side and the red, white and blue AEF GHQ insignia on the other. There is a number stamped beneath the brim.

VINTAGE: Circa World War I.

SIZE: Approximate medium: head opening is about 9-1/2" by 8".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Painted steel, leather strap, leather liner, netting, metal buckle.

ATTACHMENT: Chin strap with buckle.

MARKINGS: 7F41.

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The helmet has seen some moderate wear.
