Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a very nice used World War II shoulder patch for the United States Army SHAEF (Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force). SHAEF existed from 1943 until the end of World War II, and was commanded by General Dwight D. (Ike) Eisenhower. The patch was made in the United Kingdom and shows a flaming sword beneath a rainbow.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 3-3/16" in height and 2-9/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool embroidered in cotton/silk threads, cloth backing.
