This is a nice, used World War II shoulder patch for the US Army SHAEF (Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force). SHAEF existed from 1943 until the end of World War II, and was commanded by General Dwight D. (Ike) Eisenhower. The patch is British-made and shows a flaming sword beneath a rainbow.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 3-1/8" in height and 2-5/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool felt embroidered in silk/cotton threads, partial cotton backing.
