ARTIFACT: This is a World War I United States Food Administration pin. The Food Administration was established in 1917 for the regulation of reserve food supplies, especially wheat, for the Allied nations. The pin is in brass and celluloid and shows a starred and striped crest at center framed by wheat.

VINTAGE: Circa World War I.

SIZE: Approximately 13/16" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Celluloid, brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with safety-style catch.

MARKINGS: WHITEHEAD & HOAG DORAN PATENT.

ITEM NOTES: The pin you receive will either be the one pictured or one in similar condition. This is from a WWI homefront collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ZEX95 VBCX12/10 SACX2/17

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The pin shows some light to medium wear and areas of tarnish.
