This is a scarce World War I agent lapel pin in sterling silver for the United States Food Administration. The pin shows a brightly enameled starred and striped crest at its center encircled by a border of wheat.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 11/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated sterling silver with enameled areas.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing and three stabilization pins.
MARKINGS:STERLIN(G) on reverse of pin; S within a diamond on backing.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a federal agency collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEX95 VFEX12/10 SFEX7/12
CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The pin shows some small areas of light to medium tarnishing and all enamel is intact.
