ARTIFACT: This is a scarce World War I agent lapel pin in sterling silver for the United States Food Administration. The pin shows a brightly enameled starred and striped crest at its center encircled by a border of wheat.

VINTAGE: Circa World War I.

SIZE: Approximately 11/16" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt sterling silver, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS: STERLING on reverse of pin; C. G. BRAXMAR on backing.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a federal agency collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEX95 LFEX8/12 SEIX9/12

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The pin shows very little wear; all enamel is intact.
