This is a circa World War I "trench art" ash tray from the West Yorkshire Regiment, British Army. Now, along with the East Yorkshire Regiment, the group is known as the Prince of Wales's Own Regiment of Yorkshire. The ashtray has a fluted rim and the regiment's equine collar insignia at its center with "1914-1918" engraved below.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 9/16" in height and 4-5/8" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Copper.
