This is a circa World War I or 1920s United States Marine Corps sweetheart brooch or locket. It is in brass with mother-of-pearl details. The pendant resembles a small book and has an eagle, globe and anchor on its "cover", which opens.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I or 1920s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/16" in height and 1-13/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Mother of pearl, gilt brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with C catch, chain links, hinge.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The brooch/locket shows light wear only and has some spots of tarnish on its reverse.
