Lovely 1920s US Air Service (USAS) Sweetheart Locket in 12K GF and Mother of Pearl

This is a lovely 1920s United States Air Service sweetheart locket in 12 karat gold fill and mother of pearl. The locket looks like a little hardcover book and has a winged propeller at its center. Inside are two oval depressions for photos.

Circa 1920s.

Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 5/8" in width (when closed).

12 karat gold fill and mother of pearl.

Suspension loop; hinge.

1-20 12K GF with diamond mark.

7 (Very Fine): The locket is in very nice condition but has some small areas of oxidation on the inside.
