This is a World War I cap badge for the Manchester Regiment, formed in 1881 as part of the British Army. The badge reads CONCILIO ET LABORE (Wisdom and Effort) and shows the City of Manchester's coat of arms flanked by a lion and an antelope.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:1-7/8" height and 1-7/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Clip.
