This is a fabulous circa 1910 advertising moose head bottle opener from Portsmouth Brewing Company. The end that pries off the cap is a moose's head and the body of the opener is shaped like a bottle, complete with an engraved bottle cap detail at the end. Beginning in the 1910's and continuing through the 1930's, many of the openers had a special modification added. It was a small square hole, which opened and closed the gas-powered Prest-O-Lite valves on the covers of the auto's headlamps.
