Description
Wonderful 1936 Melvin Purvis Junior G-Man Corps radio program premium from Post Cereal. Great adjustable brass ring set in a smaller size showing just enough wear to know that it was loved for a brief while in the days prior to WWII. Beginning in the mid-1930's the show was hosted by ex-FBI man and successful pursuer of John Dillinger, Melvin Purvis. "Junior G-Men" clubs sprang up and took the nation by storm in line with the romanticized crime-fighting mentality of the era. The ring is shield shaped with an eagle perched on top and reads: "MELVIN PURVIS JUNIOR G-MAN CORPS" in raised lettering and the sides are embellished with five-point stars.
