ARTIFACT:

This is a circa late 1940s badge from the radio show "Junior G-Men". Beginning in 1936, the show was hosted by ex-FBI man and successful pursuer of John Dillinger, Melvin Purvis. "Junior G-Men" clubs sprang up and took the nation by storm in line with the romanticized crime-fighting mentality of the era.

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1940s.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-1/8" in height and 1-5/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

White metal.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with come-under catch.
