ARTIFACT:

This is a wonderful circa 1910s member lapel badge for the Tobacco Sellers' Union (Vendedores Tabaco) of Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. At the center is an emblem for the Confederación Regional Obrera Mexicana, or CROM (Regional Confederation of Mexican Workers), founded in 191The badge is enameled primarily in red and black with small Mexican flags running along either side. The badge has a maker mark on reverse.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1910s.

SIZE:

Approximately 7/8" in height and 3/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS:

FANDALE TACUBA.
