Description
ARTIFACT:
Wonderful 1900's – 1910's Roswell, New Mexico Constable badge of Hugo Rector from Precinct No. 1 in the heart of the city. The 5-point, ball tip star badge reads: "CONSTABLE PRCT. NO. 1" in the center and surrounding it reads: "H. RECTOR ROSWELL, N.M." in black painted detail. The reverse shows a maker's mark that reads: "DETECTIVE PUBLISHING CO. CHICAGO".
VINTAGE:
Circa 1900's - 1910's.
SIZE:
Approximately Badge: 1-3/4" in height x 1-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:
Nickel plated nickel.
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical pin with drop in locking catch.

CONDITION:
8+ (Overall - Excellent): The badge shows minor to moderate wear, much of the plating and painted details remain intact, the photo shows mild wear, slight age discoloration to reverse, overall both are in excellent condition.
