This is a circa 1870s or 1880s Chief Engineer badge from the Sioux City, Iowa Fire Department. The badge is big and bold with an eagle at its top and some fire equipment shown in relief at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1870s-1880s.
SIZE:Approximately 3-1/8" in height and 2-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, copper-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with C catch.
MARKINGS:None.
