ARTIFACT: This is a rare United States Merchant Marine petty officer cap badge by Vanguard. The pin is an anchor bearing a crest that reads UNITED STATES MERCHANT MARINE.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: 1-7/8" height and 1-3/16" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw pin with disc backing.

MARKINGS: VANGUARD N.Y.
