Description
This is a very rare early 1930s lapel pin for Consolidated Aircraft: it's the only one I've ever seen! The pin is enameled and features a United States Navy seaplane at its center, most likely the P2Y. Consolidated was formed in 1923 and soon gained fame for its production of flying boats (seaplanes). In 1943 the company merged with Vultee Aircraft to form Consolidated-Vultee Aircraft (Convair).
