Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a rare circa 1930s or early 1940s Boeing Aircraft Company pin for fifteen years of service with the company. Boeing started up as Pacific Aero Products Company in Seattle, Washington in 1916 by owner William Boeing. The diamond-shaped pin is in beautifully enameled 10 karat gold and has the company's winged "totem pole" logo at its center. It is by Whitehead & Hoag.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s-early 1940s.

SIZE:

Approximately 5/8" in height and 1/2" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

10 karat gold, enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS:

Whitehead & Hoag (WH within a circle) maker mark, 10K.

ITEM NOTES:

CONDITION:

8 (Excellent-): The pin has almost no wear and a few tiny spots of minor oxidation.
