ARTIFACT:

 A very rare and hard to find RSI period medal group to a pilot, Lt. Rafaele Valenzano, of the ANR (Aeronautica Nazionale Republicana), the newly formed post-Italian armistice air force allied with Nazi Germany. Group includes the Al Valore Militare medal, bronze grade, RSI model. As well as an original copy of his citation and award document. Also included is a copy of his photograph.

World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately: 4-1/4" in height x 1-1/2" in width. Bronze Medal: 1-3/8" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Bronze, silk ribbon, paper, ink, stamp.

ATTACHMENT:

Medal: bronze and silk ribbon.
