This is a very late celluloid pin for the Grand Army of the Republic, a fraternal organization for the Union veterans of the Civil War. The pin is robin's-egg blue and reads GOLDEN GATE INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION G.A.R. DAY MAY 5, '39 SAN FRANCISCO.
VINTAGE:Circa 1939.
SIZE:1-1/4" diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Celluloid-wrapped tin with paper backing.
ATTACHMENT:Brass straight pin.
