Description

ARTIFACT:

This is the very first issue of the United States Army Air Forces flight nurse wing from World War II. The wing was issued between December 1943 and August 194It has a caduceus bearing an "N" at its center and is in gilt brass, with ACID TEST stamped on the reverse.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 5/8" in height by 2" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Two posts with clutch-back catches.

MARKINGS:

ACID TEST.

ITEM NOTES:

CONDITION:

8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The wing has only some light wear and tarnish, mostly on reverse.
