This is an exquisite Japanese patriotic chopstick box with an aviation motif. The box is a mix of dark and light woods with the silhouettes of two planes and a sun gracing the lid, which slides for access.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:9/16" height and 7-11/16" width and 7/8" depth.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Lacquered wood (possibly boxwood) with painted details.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a Japanese collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBEX09 LAFEX7/10 SAFEX3/11
CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): Box has some scattered light abrasions but is in otherwise beautiful shape.
