US Army 746th Railway Operations Battalion German-Made DI

ARTIFACT:

This is a United States Army 746th Railway Operations Battalion distinctive insignia made in Germany. The insignia shows a scene on a railroad with a star and an Iron Cross.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1945's - 1950's.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/4" in height x 7/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Painted Copper and gold anodized aluminum.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with disk backing.

CONDITION:

8- (Very Fine-Excellent): Badge shows light wear, and there is a small chip in the paint at 11.
