ARTIFACT: This is a sterling distinctive insignia for the United States Army 305th Ordnance Battalion. This insignia reads MAINTAIN SERVICE and shows a bold yellow stripe across a red shield bearing five black circles.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: 1-1/16" height and 1" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated sterling silver with red, yellow and black enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under swivel locking catch.

MARKINGS: A. H. DONDERO INC. WASH. D.C. STERLING.

ITEM NOTES: This item has been rated a level II rarity by ASMIC (the American Society of Military Insignia Collectors). This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MAEL96 LDEX 4/10

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent): Insignia shows light wear only and has great coloring.
