Description
This is a distinctive insignia in sterling silver for the United States Army 87th Infantry Regiment, Mountain Division. The DI shows an impressive mountain peak with a crossed pick and ski pole along with a horshehoe. The regiment's motto VIRES MONTESQUE VIN CIMUS (we conquer power and mountains) is at bottom.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:1-1/16" in height and 1-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking catch.
