ARTIFACT:
This is a unique collection of items from the World War II 3rd Air Transport Squadron (Mobile) including 5 photos, a discharge certificate, 2 stripes and sleeve patches and two aircraft patches. The discharge certificate is named to David K. Hutcheson and includes descriptions of his Military occupations and educations as well as his civilian occupations and educations.
VINTAGE:
Circa WWII.
SIZE:
Photos: about 3-1/2” in width by 2-1/2” in height each; discharge: about 7-7/8” in width by 10-7/16” in height; stripes: about 3-1/8” in width by 4” in height each; sleeve patch round: about 2-5/8” in diameter; sleeve patch triangle: about 2-1/2” in width by 2-1/4” in height; ; aircraft large: about 6” in width by 3-1/4” in height; aircraft small: about 5-13/16” in width by 2-3/4” in height.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Photos are photo paper; discharge is printed paper; stripes and shoulder patches are embroidered with cotton/poly embroidery thread on cotton twill; aircraft patches are decals on leather.

Patches are to be sewn onto garment.

CONDITION:
7 (Very Fine): Photos have minor fading; discharge has been folded and shows minor discoloration and soiling; stripes and sleeve patches show only very minor wear to the edges; aircraft patches have minor soiling and the larger has minor to moderate cracking of the decal, but the leather on both is soft and supple .
