Description
This is the original, classic Dover Egg Beater from 1870. The beater is fashioned from cast iron and steel and has a wooden handle. The crank wheel is stamped with the beater's patent date. This beater was all the rage when it came out and for a time the act of beating eggs was renamed "dovering eggs" (credit: lonehand.com).
VINTAGE:Circa 1870.
SIZE:Approximately 10" in height and 3" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Cast iron, steel and wood.
ATTACHMENT:Crank wheel turns via handle on gears.
