ARTIFACT: This is a stunning 9ct gold evening dress pilot wing for British European Airways, which flew from 1946 through 1974. Framed by an orange enameled laurel wreath, the letters BEA are at the center of the wing, which is topped by a golden crown and is date-stamped 1956-1957 on reverse.

VINTAGE: Circa 1956-1957.

SIZE: Approximately 3/4" in height and 2-3/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: 9 karat gold with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: TRS 9 37 5 (twice) and date stamps.

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The wing shows some very light wear and has a handsome glow.
