ARTIFACT: This is a sterling silver distinctive insignia for the United States Army 6th Coast Artillery Regiment (Harbor Defenses) stationed in San Francisco during World War II. This insignia shows a prowling black bear and reads CERTO DIRIGO ICTU (I Am With a Sure Blow).

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: About 1-1/4" in height and 1-3/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated sterling silver with black and orange enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under swivel catch.

MARKINGS: STERLING.

ITEM NOTES: The insignia you receive will either be the one pictured or one in similar condition. This is from a United States Army distinctive insignia collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay MBEX05 LFJX5/10
