ARTIFACT:

This is a United Air Lines Stewardess / Flight Attendant Hat Wing Badge in sterling silver by Robbins from the 1940's to the early 1950's.

This is the later type with no screw post, the first type hat a screw post along with the pin for a more secure attachment. 

VINTAGE:

Circa 1940's to early 1950's.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/16" in height x 1-9/16" in length.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Sterling silver with enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with come-under locking catch.

MARKINGS:

ROBBINS CO. ATTLEBORO STERLING.

ITEM NOTES:

8- (Very Fine-Excellent): Pin shows some light to medium wear and tarnish.
